St. Christopher Ladies’ Guild, the primary service organization for the women of our Parish and School, is now accepting applications for the following Executive Board Positions:
First Vice President shall perform all the duties of the President during her absence or when requested to do so by the President. She shall assist the Second Vice President with socials. She shall also serve as Guild Spiritual Advisor and Fundraising Advisor.
Second Vice President: This individual is responsible for the execution and organization of social gatherings – plans for these events are determined in June by the Entire Executive Board. Upon approval, this position traditionally assumes the role of First Vice President the following year, and President the next.
Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings, be prepared to read the record of business transacted at any previous meeting, send meeting notices when necessary, assist with Guild correspondence; and, maintain an up-to-date copy of the Constitution and By-Laws of this organization. She shall also take note of all those present at the board meetings. Any updating and communication of projects will be posted to the Ladies Guild website. The secretary will also assist the president with board communications. This is a two year position.
Treasurer: This individual shall be responsible for handling all Guild funds. She shall keep an itemized account of all receipts and disbursements; expend authorized funds and prepare checks for the President or Pastor. In addition, she shall prepare and present an itemized monthly financial report. This report will be available at the board and general meetings. She shall work with the parish accounting department. She will also prepare a comprehensive annual report to be kept on file by the President and included in the Guild’s permanent record. The treasurer will assist in Antique Show bank management. Accounting or bookkeeping experience is required and to be familiar with computerized accounting practices. This is a two year position.
Nomination or Election Committees: If you would like to be a part of the board selection process, and are not applying for the above positions, please consider joining our Nomination or Election Committees. The Nomination Committee shall nominate members for the above positions. The Election Committee shall consist of seven members, four members from the General Board (two members from the parish and 2 members from the school) and three from the membership at large. Three general members will be selected randomly from all applicants. The election committee will evaluate the nominees and vote.
Join the Ladies' Guild General Board! Be part of the St. Christopher Mission. Our goal is to raise funds to benefit our school, parish and community. In order to achieve this, we need energetic and passionate women willing to use their volunteer time to benefit our cause. The Ladies' Guild has multiple board positions available for next year and we need your help. These new positions are designed to accommodate working women with time constraints. We ask that you try to attend 3 of our 4 socials, and 6 of the 7 monthly board meetings.
